We believe that personal reflections, daily moods, and meaningful memories deserve to be preserved securely. Traditional journaling apps store your most private thoughts on centralized servers, vulnerable to being lost, sold, or locked behind paywalls.
Journal3 changes this by putting you in total control. By leveraging the BOT Chain ledger, your journal entries are permanently etched into the blockchain, bound only to your cryptographic wallet.
1. Writing On-Chain
When you log a mood (from a 1-5 scale) and write your thoughts, Journal3 does not send this data to a traditional database. Instead, it interacts directly with our custom smart contract via ethers.js.
The text is stored on-chain inside a struct. Because blockchains are immutable, we designed a "soft delete" system. If you choose to delete an entry, the app hides it from your view, but the blockchain maintains the historical record of your thoughts forever.
2. Tracking Your Moods
Every entry begins with a mood check-in on a simple 1-5 scale, from unpleasant to pleasant. It's a quick, honest snapshot of how you're doing — captured right alongside your words.
Over time, these check-ins build into a beautiful month-by-month calendar. You can see each day at a glance, review your mood distribution, and spot the rhythms of your weeks. Your mood history lives on-chain with your entries, so the full story of your emotional seasons stays permanent and yours alone.
